Are you passionate about education and want to make a difference to the lives of children and young people? Hazel Tree Education are seeking an experienced teaching assistant to join a primary school in Wigan ASAP for the remainder of the current academic year. You will be required to assist across school in various year groups from reception class up to year 6 where required. There will be times where you will be with small groups of learners delivering literacy or numeracy lessons.

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience in Teaching and Learning or Childcare or experience working with children in a formal setting e.g. school, residential, sports coaching.
  • An interest in supporting children with additional needs.
  • A resilient, pro-active nature with a positive, can-do attitude.

Successful candidates must have:

  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update service or be willing to obtain one.
  • At least two references including most recent/current employer.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • A good standard of literacy and numeracy with excellent written and verbal communication.
