The role of an Unqualified Teacher gives you a flavour of managing a classroom and delivering learning to secondary pupils aged 11 to 16, supporting learners across a range of subjects at key stage 3 and key stage 4 without the pressure of planning lessons and marking work. You will be delivering set learning left in the teacher's absence, ensuring that pupils are on task and setting high behavioural expectations.
Working hours: Mon-Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience working with children in a formal setting e.g. school, residential, sports coaching or a passion for supporting children and young people
- Ideally educated to A Level or degree
- Willingness to undertake further training with Hazel Tree Education
- A resilient, pro-active nature with a positive, can-do attitude
- Confidence managing behaviours that challenge
Successful candidates must have:
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update service or be willing to purchase one.
- At least two references including most recent/current employer.
- Right to work in the UK.
- A good standard of literacy and numeracy with excellent written and verbal communication.
