Hazel Tree Education are currently supporting a provision for children, young people and adults with learning disabilities and/or autism spectrum conditions and associated behaviours that challenge. As the Learning Support Assistant, you will support and encourage children with their school work, helping pupils understand instructions or giving them confidence in their ability to complete a task. This may involve small group work and 1:1 support.

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 15.30pm. As an agency, we are able to offer full-time, part-time and flexible working opportunities in local schools.

What we’re looking for:

  • A recognised qualification in Teaching and Learning or Childcare OR
  • Experience working with children in a formal setting e.g. school, residential, sports coaching.
  • An interest in supporting children with additional needs.
  • A resilient, pro-active nature with a positive, can-do attitude.

Successful candidates must have:

  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update service or be willing to purchase one.
  • At least two references including most recent/current employer.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • A good standard of literacy and numeracy with excellent written and verbal communication.
