Level 3 Teaching Assistant

Hazel Tree Education are currently supporting an SEMH primary school in Ashton-in-Makerfield in their search for a passionate and engaging Level 3 Teaching Assistant. Using an array of educational, therapeutic and play practices, the school supports learners with a multitude of social, emotional and mental health needs. Due to the high needs of the learners, the successful applicant must be resilient in nature with a warm, empathetic outlook to be able to build trusting, respectful relationships. The role is due to commence in the new academic year, September 2025, and is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 3.30pm, and is set to span long-term for the right candidate. What we\’re looking for: * Have SEND experience, specifically supporting learners with social, emotional and mental health needs including challenging behaviour * Be patient, calm and kind order to form positive, trusting relationships with pupils * Be flexible, adaptable to change and able to work on own initiative * Have a clear and current DBS on the Update Service * Have a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification Successful candidates must have: * An Enhanced DBS on the Update service or be willing to obtain one * Two references within the last 2 years including most recent/current employer. * Right to Work in the UK * A good standard of literacy and numeracy with excellent written and verbal communication. * Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and all employment breaks must be explained. * Must be willing to attend a face to face or Teams registration interview.
