Hazel Tree Education are supporting a SEMH secondary school in Chorley in their search for an SEMH Teacher. Full-time, Monday- Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm, September start. The secondary school caters for a range of complex needs preparing young people for the future and helps them to develop the skills and qualities they will need to make a positive contribution to the community. The school caters for up to 88 learners and strives to nurture and cultivate self-esteem and confidence. Standards for behaviour are high, matched with a positive ethos of mutual respect.

Applicants must have:

  • A recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE with QTS and experience teaching in UK schools
  • The ability to track, monitor and report on pupils’ progress
  • A resilient nature, excellent communication skills and a creative, inspirational approach to classroom practice
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • Two references including most recent employer
  • Right to work in the UK
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update service or be willing to obtain one
