Location: Haze Lodge, Isle of Wight

Hours: 40 hours per week to be worked flexibly as required by the home's needs.

What Your Day Could Look Like

  • Lead the home with care, purpose and clarity.
  • Guide your team and keep daily routines running smoothly.
  • Oversee the delivery of safe, effective and person-centred nursing and care services.
  • Ensure residents' nursing, clinical and complex health needs are understood and appropriately supported.
  • Work closely with nurses and other healthcare professionals to maintain high standards of clinical practice.
  • Support safe, personalised care with up-to-date care plans, risk assessments and clinical records.
  • Monitor medication management and clinical practices within the home.
  • Keep audits, policies and quality assurance systems in good shape.
  • Build strong relationships with residents, families, staff and healthcare professionals.
  • Monitor budgets and manage resources carefully.
  • Stay visible and involved with both day and night teams.

What We'd Love You to Bring

  • A kind, capable leader who cares about getting it right.
  • A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care, or a willingness to work towards it.
  • Previous experience managing, or working at a senior level within, a nursing home or clinical care setting.
  • A strong knowledge and understanding of nursing and clinical care needs.
  • The ability to understand, oversee and support the delivery of care for residents with complex health conditions.
  • Experience working alongside nurses and other healthcare professionals.
  • A strong understanding of medication management, clinical governance and safe nursing practices.
  • Strong knowledge of CQC standards, regulations and good care practice.
  • A calm, confident and approachable leadership style.
  • Good organisation and attention to detail.
  • A flexible and thoughtful approach to the work.
