We believe sustainability shouldn’t come at a sacrifice. We’re making circular consumption accessible and affordable for university students. Our vision is to be students’ go-to place to shop for any occasion, whether they’re buying second-hand from peers or shopping excess stock from top brands at amazing prices. We’re launching nationwide in September and looking for someone to take our community to the next level.
We’re seeking a motivated, creative, and detail-oriented Content and Community Manager to lead our social strategy and build an engaged student community. This is an exciting opportunity to shape Hazaar’s voice, grow our presence across platforms, and contribute to our mission of empowering students to make sustainable choices.
Responsibilities:
Social Media Strategy and Execution
- Plan, create, and schedule engaging social media content across all platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
- Own the social content calendar, driving strategies to maximise reach and engagement with our student audience.
- Develop a roadmap for expanding Hazaar’s presence on new channels and leveraging emerging trends.
- Collaborate with the Hazaar team, including our founder and marketing team, to refine and implement an organic social media strategy.
- Monitor, measure, and report on the performance of social campaigns, using data to inform optimisations.
Community Engagement
- Actively engage with our student community across platforms, providing timely, authentic, and relatable responses.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment where students feel empowered to share experiences and connect through Hazaar.
- Gather and analyse community insights to influence social strategy, product development, and growth initiatives.
- Input into IRL activations and what our experiential marketing on campuses looks like
Content Creation and Collaboration
- Lead the creation of on-brand, student-focused content that aligns with Hazaar’s mission and values.
- Collaborate with the marketing, product, and events teams to ensure content supports key objectives, including brand partnerships and campaigns.
- Project manage other content streams, such as newsletters and blogs, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with Hazaar’s messaging.
- Work with micro-influencers and content creators to produce content that aligns and enhances the Hazaar brand
Reporting and Analysis
- Regularly track and report on the performance of organic social initiatives and community engagement.
- Use data to provide actionable insights and recommendations for content and strategy improvements.
Requirements:
- Experience: 2- 3 years in content and/or social media roles, preferably with e-commerce or marketplace experience.
- Empathy and Relatability: A genuine desire to connect with students and support their needs, understanding the challenges they face.
- Drive and Motivation: A proactive self-starter with a strong work ethic and a focus on delivering results.
- Organised and Detail-Oriented: Skilled in managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring all content and communications meet high standards.
- Data-Driven: Comfortable analysing metrics and translating insights into strategic improvements.
- Creative Skills: Bonus if you have experience editing videos or creating social content to execute your ideas.
