Chef de Partie (CDP)Job Description Haz Restaurant Position Summary The Chef de Partie is responsible for managing a specific section of the kitchen and delivering consistent, high-quality dishes in line with Haz Restaurant standards.

This role requires strong technical skills, speed, discipline, and the ability to lead a station independently during busy service periods.

The CDP supports the Sous Chef and Head Chef in maintaining food quality, hygiene, and smooth kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities1.

Section Management Take full ownership of an assigned section (grill, hot, cold, prep, meze, garnish, etc.).

Ensure the station is fully prepared before service (mise-en-place).

Maintain organisation, cleanliness and readiness throughout the shift.2.

Food Preparation & Cooking Prepare and cook menu items according to Haz recipes, portion standards and presentation guidelines.

Deliver consistent taste, texture and temperature across all dishes.

Work efficiently during peak hours while maintaining quality.3.

Quality Control Check freshness, seasoning, cooking accuracy and plating before dishes leave the pass.

Report any quality issues or deviations immediately to the Sous Chef or Head Chef.

Maintain high standards of Mediterranean/Turkish cuisine execution.4.

Hygiene, Safety & Compliance Follow all food safety regulations (HACCP, allergen protocols, temperature logs).

Ensure proper storage, labelling and rotation of ingredients (FIFO).

Keep the station clean and compliant at all times.5.

Teamwork & Communication Work closely with the Sous Chef, Head Chef and kitchen team.

Communicate shortages, delays or issues promptly.

Support junior chefs and commis chefs with guidance and training.6.

Stock & Waste Management Assist with stock checks and deliveries.

Minimise waste through correct portioning and efficient prep.

Inform management of low stock levels or discrepancies.7.

Menu Knowledge Maintain full knowledge of all dishes, ingredients, cooking methods and allergens.

Execute specials or new menu items as instructed by senior chefs.

Skills & Competencies Essential Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or strong experience as a Demi CDP.

Ability to run a station independently.

Strong cooking skills and understanding of Mediterranean/Turkish cuisine.

Excellent hygiene and food safety knowledge.

Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Desirable Experience in high-volume restaurants.

HACCP or Level 2 Food Safety certification.

Ability to train and mentor junior staff.
