Role Purpose
The Food Runner supports the smooth and efficient flow of service by ensuring that dishes are delivered to guests accurately, promptly, and in perfect condition. This role acts as a key link between the kitchen and the front-of-house team, contributing to an exceptional guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver food orders from the kitchen to the correct tables quickly, safely, and accurately
- Ensure plates, trays, and service equipment are handled with care and professionalism
- Assist with table clearing, resetting, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the shift
- Support the service team with water service, bread service, condiments, and basic guest needs
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen and service teams to maintain a smooth workflow
- Monitor the pass to ensure dishes are collected promptly and presented correctly
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, organisation, and station readiness
- Learn menu items and allergens to confidently guide guests or direct questions to the appropriate team member
