We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Heavy Plant Fitter to join our team in South Wales. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional with a strong background in maintaining and repairing heavy plant machinery to work within a well-established and growing operation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a wide range of heavy plant equipment (e.g., excavators, dumpers, loaders).
  • Diagnose faults efficiently using both manual and diagnostic tools.
  • Perform inspections and ensure all machinery meets safety and operational standards.
  • Complete job reports and maintain accurate service records.
  • Respond to breakdowns both in the workshop and on-site when required.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years’ proven experience as a Heavy Plant Fitter or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Full UK driving licence (essential).
  • Relevant qualifications in plant maintenance, engineering, or similar (preferred).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
