As our

Pastoral Support Tutor , you will

  • Motivate each individual learner within a caseload and monitor their progress against their learning goals.
  • Encourage each student to engage in personal evaluation, reflection and target setting, using value added to measure progression (where appropriate).
  • Identify student needs and facilitate access to appropriate services to support achievement, such as additional support, careers advice and the enrichment programme.
  • L iaise with all involved in a students chosen programme of study (including teachers, study programme leaders and Heads of Learning) to address any concerns and support student success.

What you will bring to the role

  • Understanding of the study needs and options and progression opportunities for post 16 learners
  • Experience of supporting students post 16
  • Time management skills, organisational skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines
