The Stores Department is responsible with the management of the stores and all inventories, in-bound/out-bound logistics. The tool stores is where tooling and consumables are managed on the shop floor.
The tool stores operator receives/stores/locates/processes consumables and tooling and maintains calibration of measuring equipment for use by Hayward Tyler Luton Ltd.
What you will do
- Issuing and replenishing tooling and consumables (raising POs, managing tool vending0)
- Receiving goods into stock using Epicor ERP system, ensuring transactions are accurate
- Managing stock of consumables via daily checks and logging transactions
- Preparing parts for despatch and receiving deliveries
- Assisting with the calibration of all measuring instruments
- Ensuring that all tooling movements are recorded and that an up to date register of tooling and Kardex locations in maintained
- Maintaining a safe, organised and tidy tool stores.
- Adherence to quality control and procedure compliance
- Work in accordance with the documented Health, Safety and Environmental procedures and instructions. Maintain high standards at all times, report problems or deviations associated with H&S to the responsible Manager/Supervisor.
- Supporting Continuous improvement efforts through involvement in structured problem solving and other activities using LEAN concepts.
- Any other related duties as required.

- Knowledge of gauges, fixtures and other measuring equipment
- Previous experience in management of tooling
