Im looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer, with focus on Terraform for a client of ours. Im working with a well-established technology business operating in a highly regulated environment, looking to hire a Senior DevOps Engineer to join their CloudOps function. This role sits at the centre of platform reliability, automation, and cloud infrastructure, partnering closely with engineering teams to ensure secure, scalable, and compliant systems. This is a hands-on senior role with clear technical ownership, alongside mentoring responsibilities and influence over infrastructure standards and tooling.
The Role
- Youll be responsible for designing, building, and operating cloud-native infrastructure that supports a modern, containerised application platform.
- The role combines deep technical delivery with leadership, documentation, and cross-team collaboration.
Required Experience
- Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Pulumi
- Hands-on experience running container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes
- Strong cloud background in AWS or Azure
- Proven experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Configuration management experience (Chef, Puppet, or similar)
- Strong scripting or programming skills (Python, Go, or similar)
- Experience with observability and monitoring platforms
- Solid understanding of microservices architectures
- Strong security awareness and experience working in regulated environments
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Comfortable working with distributed teams and asynchronous tooling
Nice to Have
- Experience with internal developer platforms or platform engineering models
- Exposure to GitOps tooling
- Policy-as-code experience
- Cloud cost optimisation or FinOps exposure
