Hayward Hawk are delighted to be working once again with our client to help recruit for a motivated and detail-focused Finance Assistant in Belfast. This is apart-time role which can be flexible on working 20-25 hours per week.
What you'll do
- Oversee the end-to-end process of customer billing and debt collection, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution of outstanding accounts
- Support the monitoring of daily cash flow and assist with reconciliation of banking transactions
- Contribute to the monthly financial close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
- Support our credit control function, ensuring timely collection of outstanding payments and maintaining strong client relationships
- Manage supplier interactions, including logging incoming invoices, reconciling statements, and addressing discrepancies
- Coordinate and execute scheduled payment batches in line with company policies
- Perform ad hoc financial duties and administrative support as directed by the finance leadership team
What you'll need
- Competence with Microsoft Excel and the ability to work with data effectively
- Confident communicator with professional telephone skills, able to manage both client and supplier interactions
- Familiarity with financial or ERP software systems; experience within a manufacturing or production-led environment is advantageous
