Commercial Finance Manager

Hayward Hawk is delighted to be working in an exciting opportunity for a talented Commercial Finance Manager to join a rapidly scaling business in Bangor. This organisation is scaling through acquisition and organic growth, offering a high-impact, career enhancing role for a commercially minded finance professional. Partnering closely with the Finance Director, you will play a key role in shaping the financial and growth strategy of the business – an opportunity to step beyond month-end and become heavily involved in value-creation, commercial analysis, and strategic projects, while still maintaining oversight of core reporting and financial governance. The Role Strategic & Commercial Finance (approx. 70%) Support the Finance Director in driving financial strategy and growth initiatives. Lead commercial analysis to support pricing, margin improvement, investment cases, and commercial decision-making. Provide financial insight on acquisition opportunities, including due diligence, financial modelling, and post-integration support. Develop business cases and financial models for new revenue streams and strategic projects. Work closely with operational and commercial leaders to challenge assumptions and influence strategic direction. Financial Reporting & Controls (approx. 30%) Lead month-end close and preparation of monthly management accounts. Produce high-quality board reporting packs with clear insight and commentary. Support budgeting, forecasting, and re-forecast cycles. Maintain strong financial controls and governance across the business. Drive continuous improvement across reporting, systems, and processes. The Person Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent). At least two years post qualified experience in a fast paced Industry role. Experience in a commercial finance, business partnering, financial planning, or similar analytical role. Exposure to M&A /strategy activity advantageous (not essential). Excellent communication skills with the ability to challenge and influence stakeholders. Proactive, ambitious, and comfortable in a fast-growing, evolving environment. Why apply?
