Hayward Hawk are delighted to be recruiting for a well-established and growing client who is seeking a detail-oriented and technically strong Financial Accountant to join their finance team. This role is ideal for a fully qualified accountant who enjoys statutory reporting, financial controls and supporting year-end processes, while also contributing to wider business improvements.

What Youll Do:

  • Prepare statutory accounts and assist with year-end financial reporting
  • Complete monthly and quarterly financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards
  • Maintain strong financial controls and support internal and external audits
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and manage general ledger accuracy
  • Assist with tax, VAT, and regulatory submissions
  • Support cash flow reporting and treasury activities
  • Provide financial insights to support senior management and operational teams

What Youll Need:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of financial reporting standards
  • Previous experience in financial accounting, audit, or similar roles
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational abilities
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience using finance systems
  • Confident communicator with the ability to work across teams and manage deadlines
