Hayward Hawk is delighted to be partnering with a PE backed business to appoint a Finance Manager to join their team. This is a key role to own the management accounts with a great pathway to FC in place. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality financial information, supporting planning cycles, and partnering with stakeholders across the business.
The Role
- Oversee margin, cost and cashflow performance, supporting forecasts, reforecasts and longer-term planning activity
- Lead the preparation and review of monthly and annual financial statements in line with month end process and reporting deadlines
- Coordinate external reporting, audit interactions and compliance submissions, acting as a key finance point of contact
- Provide financial analysis, modelling and insight to support operational and commercial decision-making
- Drive continuous improvement across reporting processes, controls and financial governance
- Manage and develop junior members of the finance team
The Candidate
- Qualified or QBE accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
- Ideally Big 4 trained with 3+ years post-qualification in a finance role
- Strong background in financial reporting, management accounts or group reporting
- Confident engaging with senior stakeholders, able to challenge and influence when required
- Commercially minded, with the ability to translate numbers into insight
- Advanced Excel skills; systems experience an advantage
