Hayward Hawk is delighted to be working with a scaling international business to recruit an experienced Management Accountant to join their team. My client is looking for a detail-driven recently qualified Management Accountant to take ownership of monthly financial reporting and provide clear, accurate insight into business performance.
The Role
- Produce monthly financial reports and performance summaries for senior management.
- Track project and contract activity to ensure revenue is recorded correctly and billed without delay.
- Support financial planning by preparing projections and analysing key trends.
- Manage balance sheet reconciliations, including inventory-related accounts.
- Monitor customer and supplier accounts, resolving discrepancies and highlighting concerns.
- Prepare information for external auditors at year end.
- Handle indirect tax submissions and ensure compliance with HMRC requirements.
- Oversee supplier payments, deposits, and banking processes.
- Review current financial workflows and suggest ways to increase accuracy and efficiency.
- Contribute to strengthening internal controls and risk-management practices.
- Carry out other finance tasks aligned with your experience as needed.
The Person
- A fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or a seasoned finance professional with significant hands-on experience.
- Strong background in management accounting with proven analytical ability.
- High level of accuracy with a strong focus on quality.
- Clear and effective communication skills.
- Previous experience in a similar commercial finance environment.
