The Company
Hayward Hawk is delighted to be partnering with a forward thinking, modern firm in Derry/Londonderry to source an Accountant to join their finance team. This role is full time in office.
What You’ll do
- Compiling annual financial disclosures and associated documentation for entities within the UK and Ireland, in alignment with group reporting standards.
- Conducting monthly reviews and validations of key financial positions to ensure alignment between ledgers and actual balances.
- Coordinating the preparation and electronic filing of indirect tax documentation within UK and Irish jurisdictions, while managing any associated inquiries or discrepancies.
- Contributing to compliance efforts related to payroll and consumption-based taxation across organizational operations.
- Guiding and supporting less experienced team members within the finance function to ensure professional development and task accuracy.
- Supervising the generation and timely delivery of compulsory regulatory filings beyond core financial statements.
- Assisting departments across the company with financial planning cycles, predictive modelling, and profitability reviews.
- Acting as a liaison for finance-related communications with governmental bodies, financial institutions, vendors, shareholders, and other outside entities.
What You’ll need
- An accountancy qualification (ACA / ACCA / CIMA etc).
- Experience in statutory accounts for multiple entities.
- Solid grasp of both UK and ROI VAT regimes.
- Experience implementing financial processes.
- Experience in M&A preferable.
