We're working with Amazon on this exciting opportunity. Join Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a Senior Security Engineer to build and manage services that detect and automate the mitigation of cybersecurity threats across Amazon's infrastructure, protecting customers globally. This role offers the chance to work with industry-leading experts and utilize the full breadth of AWS technologies.
The Role
- Build and manage services for detecting and mitigating cybersecurity threats across Amazon's infrastructure.
- Collaborate with data scientists, software developers, and other security engineers to develop innovative security solutions.
- Protect the AWS cloud for all customers, preserving trust and proactively defending against security threats.
- Work with UK customers to operate and continuously improve industry-leading security programs and processes.
- Engage with senior leadership in government agencies, commercial institutions, and AWS, including CISOs and CTOs.
- Mentor junior engineers and foster knowledge sharing within the team.
What You'll Need
- Extensive experience in security investigations, penetration testing, and/or incident response in large organizations.
- In-depth understanding of security threats, with hands-on experience detecting and defending against cyber attacks.
- Ability to develop code in modern languages such as Java, Go, TypeScript, Python, or Rust, including security code review.
- Demonstrated technical leadership in security (e.g., tech lead, security architecture for a product/system).
- Experience leading and coaching junior security engineers.
