An established and growing manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive strategic growth across key customer accounts and new markets within the UK and Europe. This is a high-impact, customer-facing role suited to a commercially driven individual with proven experience in manufacturing, engineering, or technical sales environments, and a strong understanding of customer-led growth strategies.

The Role

You will manage and develop an existing portfolio of customers while proactively identifying and securing new business opportunities. Working closely with internal engineering, operations, and project teams, you will help translate technical capability into commercially successful programmes. The split is approximately: 75% account management / growth of existing customers, 25% new business development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new business opportunities across UK and European manufacturing markets
  • Grow and strengthen relationships with existing customers and key accounts
  • Lead RFQs, pricing strategies, commercial negotiations, and long-term agreements
  • Build strong relationships across engineering, purchasing, operations, and senior leadership
