A leading manufacturing business in South Wales is seeking an experienced Quality Manager. This key leadership role is responsible for maintaining high standards and supporting continuous improvement activities throughout manufacturing operations.

The Quality Manager will take ownership of the quality function, providing guidance, support, and leadership across the business. Responsibilities include:

  • Leading and maintaining the site's quality systems and procedures.
  • Planning and conducting internal audits and supporting external assessments.
  • Investigating quality concerns and implementing effective corrective actions.
  • Analysing performance data and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Working closely with Production, Engineering, and Operations teams.
  • Supporting customer and supplier quality activities.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
  • Maintaining inspection and measurement systems.
  • Producing quality reports and monitoring key performance indicators.
  • Promoting best practice throughout manufacturing operations.
  • Developing and supporting members of the quality team.
  • Assisting with the introduction of new products and manufacturing processes.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant standards and customer requirements.

Experience needed:

  • Previous experience within a Quality Manager role in manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of quality systems and auditing activities.
  • Experience investigating root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Ability to interpret data and drive improvements.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Hands-on approach with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Customer-focused mindset.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of APQP and PPAP processes.
  • Experience with statistical process control techniques.
  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma exposure.
  • Experience supporting new product introduction activities.
