A well-established FMCG manufacturing business based in South Wales is looking to recruit an experienced Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer with electrical bias to join their engineering team. This is a hands-on role supporting production and packaging operations within a fast-paced FMCG environment.
The Role
- Electrical and mechanical fault-finding on production and packaging machinery
- Reactive and planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Installation, repair, and modification of machinery and equipment
- Supporting production teams to minimise downtime
- Working on site services including utilities where trained
- Use of permit-to-work systems, risk assessments, and contractor supervision
- Accurate completion of maintenance records and shift handovers
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience as a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer within a FMCG environment
- Electrical and Mechanical fault-finding skills on production and packaging machinery
- Ability to respond effectively to breakdowns and work calmly under pressure
- Experience carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance
- Good understanding of health & safety standards
- Time-served apprenticeship or relevant electrical engineering qualification
- Able to work independently and as part of a shift-based engineering team
