Cover Supervisors needed in Secondary Schools across West Yorkshire. Required from September 2026.
We are currently seeking confident and adaptable Cover Supervisors to work on a day-to-day supply basis in secondary schools across West Yorkshire, starting from September 2026. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy variety, flexibility, and supporting students' learning in a classroom setting.
The Role
- Supervising classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff.
- Delivering pre-planned lessons and ensuring students remain on task.
- Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
- Providing a calm, positive, and productive learning environment.
- Supporting students with their work where appropriate.
- Adapting to different schools, subjects, and age groups (KS3 and KS4).
- Work can range from single-day cover to short-term assignments, depending on school requirements and your availability.
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience working with young people in a secondary school or similar setting (desirable).
- Confidence in managing classroom behaviour.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- A flexible, professional, and reliable approach.
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- Degree-level education or relevant experience (preferred but not essential).
