Hays Education Wirral is working with one of our partnership primary schools in Birkenhead to fill a Year 5 class teaching job starting asap. You will join a hard-working team as one of two upper key stage 2 class teachers with full time Year 5 class teaching responsibilities.
The job is for the autumn term, so fixed term running asap – December.

Your new role
This Year 5 class teaching job is based in a one-form entry primary school which was graded ‘good’ in their last Ofsted inspection. The role came about due to internal promotions within the team structure. This role will initially be for one term while longer term decisions are made regarding permanent staffing within the school.
As the Year 5 class teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons to a mixed ability class. You will have the support of a full-time TA, and also 1:1 TAs who work with specific children in the group. You will carry out regular assessments with the support of the KS2 lead and SLT. You will closely follow school policies, including the behaviour policy, to ensure effective teaching and learning takes place
