Your new role
As the Exams and Data Officer for this school based in Skelmersdale, your key responsibilities will be to work with the Data Manager and support the efficient and effective running of internal and external examinations within the school, including liaising with staff, students, invigilators and examination boards. You will also manage and analyse student data and assessment information, producing reports and statistics to support teaching and learning.
This is a long-term temporary post in the first instance but could lead to something more permanent for the right candidate. This is a full-time post working 37.5 hours across the week. Duties will include (but not limited to) the below.
- Manage arrangements for the secure receipt, checking and storing of exam papers and materials.
- Work with the SENCO to ensure appropriate access arrangements and reasonable adjustments are implemented for those who require it.
- Manage registration of candidates for all examinations.
- Recruit, train and manage invigilators as required and ensure appropriate conduct during examination sessions.
- Manage the logistics for examination sessions, including timetable, room booking, resources and staffing.
- Manage arrangements for the secure storage and dispatch of completed papers.
- Arrange receipt and distribution of examination certificates.
- Manage the administration and processing of all student data independently and provide analysis/report to the data lead including assessment, recording, and reporting systems.
- Review and monitor assessment, behaviour, and attendance data to identify outliers, gaps, or inconsistencies and to report these to SLT as appropriate.
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience of working in an educational setting, preferably with exams administration.
- Knowledge of the examination boards rules and regulations and the Joint Council for General Qualifications (JCGQ) guidelines.
- Proficiency in using School's Information Management System (SIMS) or other relevant software such as Arbor, Bromcom etc.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
