Reports to: Head of Finance
Location: Hybrid - Bath / Remote
February start: 3-6 months
Purpose of the role
Provide end-to-end ownership of the finance operations and group reporting. You will keep all systems clean and current, close the ledgers each month, deliver insightful MI packs and maintain robust controls.
Person profile:
- Experience: 5 + years in a hands-on SME or agency finance role, including full month-end ownership and, ideally, multi-entity consolidation.
- Qualified: (CIMA, ACCA or ACA) - or equivalent QBE. Will review part-qualified if you have a good amount of industry experience.
- Technical: Intermediate Excel / Google Sheets; confident user of Xero.
- Analytical: Able to interrogate data, spot anomalies and explain variances clearly.
- Organisation: Works independently, prioritises deadlines, maintains immaculate attention to detail.
- Soft skills: Clear communicator who can translate numbers for creative non-finance colleagues.
- Values: High integrity, proactive mindset, comfortable in a fast-growth, ever-changing environment.
Desirable
- Exposure to US reporting/tax considerations and multi-currency environments.
- Prior experience in the media or tech services business.
- Familiarity with automation tools (Zapier, Power Query, SQL) for reporting efficiencies.
