We are looking for a proactive and capable Quantity Surveyor to join our growing consultancy. This role suits someone who thrives in a hands-on environment, enjoys variety, and is confident about managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and participate in design meetings and client discussions.
- Drive projects forward with a mindset similar to project management, ensuring momentum and clarity.
- Manage procurement processes, including appointing main contractors and design teams.
- Run tender processes and evaluate contractor submissions.
- Work confidently with the JCT form of contract.
- Oversee projects typically ranging from £1m to £15m in value.
What We're Looking For
- Strong understanding of UK construction practices (some overseas experience is fine, but UK exposure must be significant).
- Experience working on small to mid-scale projects rather than large £50m+ schemes.
- Someone adaptable, motivated, and open-minded - able to work flexibly and not fixed in a single way of doing things.
- Confident multitasker who can manage several live projects at once.
- RICS qualification not required.
- A background in a small consultancy is ideal, but we also welcome candidates from a main contractor environment.
