Your new role
We are looking for a Skilled Welder Fitter who can weld fabrications and parts according to supplied drawings. Our client’s design, engineering, and manufacturing capabilities can produce a wide array of products of nearly any size.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Able to weld with GMAW & GTAW to required specifications (Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, Aluminum, and Mild Steel).
- Perform welding and grinding duties as required.
- Work independently or as part of a team.
- Work from complex drawings.
- Ensure all parts are prefabricated correctly to meet customer specifications.
- Work safely by following all Occupational Health & Safety Regulations, company policies, and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or lead hand.
- Strive for maximum production efficiency and attention to detail.
- Document and complete quality reports.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Ensure proper cleanup and inspection of weldments and fabricated parts after completion.
- Have knowledge of welding processes and setup.
- Read blueprints proficiently.
- Possess WHMIS and MSDS knowledge of all substances.
What you\’ll need to succeed
- At least 3-5 years of relevant industry experience.
- Proficient blueprint reading skills.
- Highly skilled in fitting, prepping, and material handling to meet specifications.
- Strong welding skills in MIG (Hard Wire, Flux Core).
- GTAW experience is an asset.
- Sub Arc experience is an asset.
- Red Seal Certification is an asset.
- CWB/AWS/TSSA tickets are assets.
- Experience in custom fabrication is an asset.
