An industry-leading specialist subcontractor is seeking a Technical Sales Manager to support the development of projects across the UK & Ireland.
This is an excellent opportunity for a construction-linked sales professional with technical knowledge and commercial awareness of the construction process in a client-facing role focused on solution selling to contractors and developers.
As the successful candidate, you'll have an understanding of contractors, specialist subcontractors, material suppliers, technical specification sales, linked to the construction of Leisure Centres, Wet Leisure or Sports facilities.
Working closely with contractors, developers etc, you will identify project opportunities, undertake site assessments, develop technical solutions and support projects from initial enquiry through to contract award.
The Role Working with the Technical and Country Lead supporting and generating/developing project opportunities across the UK.
Build relationships with architects, consultants, contractors, developers and asset owners.
Supported by the Technical Lead, you will undertake site surveys and technical assessments of existing facilities.
Review drawings, specifications and project information to identify opportunities and constraints.
Develop technical proposals in collaboration with the Technical and Country Lead.
Support tender submissions, quotations and commercial proposals.
Present technical solutions to clients and project stakeholders.
Support opportunities through pre-construction, procurement and project delivery stages.
Monitor market activity and identify new business opportunities.
Provide technical and commercial support throughout the sales cycle.
Key Requirements Strong understanding of construction methods and technical detailing.
Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
Experience liaising with contractors, consultants and design teams.
Comfortable undertaking site visits and assist with technical surveys.
Commercially aware with the ability to identify and develop opportunities.
Confident presenting technical solutions to clients and stakeholders.
Self-motivated and capable of working semi-autonomously.
