Your new role
As a Senior Project Controls & Analytics Engineer, you will integrate and consolidate all project performance data, ensuring full alignment to the organisation's project controls process and digital strategy. You will oversee the integration of planning (P6), cost and budget (BoQ), earned value, forecasting, change management, resourcing and KPI reporting. You will develop, automate and maintain high-quality Power BI dashboards, design robust data models, and champion the application of coding standards and processes across the programme. You will also identify opportunities for digital automation, improve reporting efficiency, and provide clear insights to project leadership to support data-driven decision-making.
What you'll need to succeed
- Technical & Project Controls Experience
- Strong background in project controls within construction or infrastructure.
- Understanding of earned value management, project methodology and integrated controls (cost, planning, delivery).
- Experience working with P6, cost/budget structures (BoQ), forecasting and change management.
- Advanced Power BI skills, including DAX and M-query.
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel.
- Advantageous: Knowledge of R, Python, SQL, SharePoint, Power Apps, Power Automate, Teams.
- A numerical degree or equivalent higher-level qualification involving mathematical logic or statistical analysis.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with proven capability in data handling, reporting and performance analysis.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with IT, analysts, developers and project leadership.
- Strong problem-solving ability with a pragmatic approach.
- Ability to manage workload independently, meet deadlines and drive improvements across digital processes.
- Team-oriented, collaborative and self-motivated.
