A leading infrastructure and construction organisation is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial delivery of a portfolio of projects. Operating across major frameworks and long-term programmes of work, the business offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative commercial team focused on delivering high-quality outcomes across complex projects.
Your new role
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the commercial management of multiple projects, ensuring robust cost control, accurate reporting, and contractual compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
Key duties will include:
- Managing applications for payment, valuations and change control processes.
- Administering NEC contracts, including Early Warnings, Compensation Events and contractual notices.
- Producing and presenting monthly CVRs and commercial reports.
- Managing subcontractor accounts, payments and final accounts.
- Monitoring project costs, cash flow and forecasting.
- Maintaining commercial records, risk registers and supporting documentation.
- Working closely with operational, finance and procurement teams to achieve commercial objectives.
- Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities across your projects.
- Providing commercial guidance to project delivery teams and supporting best practice across the business.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within the infrastructure, utilities or construction sectors.
- Strong working knowledge of NEC3 or NEC4 contracts, particularly Options A and C.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- A proven track record of producing CVRs, forecasts and commercial reports.
- Experience managing subcontractor accounts and change management processes.
- Strong contractual administration and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Strong Excel and general IT skills.
- A full UK driving licence.
A Quantity Surveying degree, RICS, or CICES membership would be advantageous but is not essential.
