About the Role:Hays Recruitment is seeking a skilled Water Hygiene Technician to join a well-established client in the Leeds area. The role involves performing inspections and maintenance tasks as part of a Legionella Control Program. You will carry out water testing, showerhead disinfection, water sample collection, and logbook audits, using electronic systems to record data. Travel across multiple sites will be required to ensure compliance with water hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections, testing, and maintenance of water systems
- Adhere to ACoP L8 and HSG 274 guidelines for Legionella control
- Use PDA and web-based systems for logbook audits
- Perform remedial works and preventative maintenance as needed
Essential Criteria:
- Relevant experience in water hygiene or a similar role
- Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable Criteria:
- Legionella control training (City & Guilds or equivalent)
- Plumbing qualifications (C&G Level 1, 2 or above)
- Knowledge of HSC ACoP L8 and HSG 274
