A growing international business is looking to appoint an experienced Indirect Tax Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to join a business where indirect tax plays a key role in supporting strategic decision-making and operational excellence.
Your new role:
- Ownership of UK and European VAT compliance
- Review and submission of VAT returns across multiple jurisdictions
- Act as the key VAT advisor to finance and operational teams
- Support cross-border transactions and movement of goods across Europe
- Manage relationships with external advisers and tax authorities
- Lead VAT audits and resolve technical VAT queries
- Identify and implement process, systems and control improvements
What you'll need to succeed:
- To be successful in this role, you will be a qualified tax or accounting professional (CTA, ACA or equivalent) with strong indirect tax experience gained within industry or practice.
- Strong UK VAT knowledge, with European VAT experience highly desirable
- Experience dealing with cross-border transactions
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience managing VAT audits and working with external advisers
- Strong analytical skills and confidence working with financial systems and large data sets
