This logistics company provides logistics services including road and rail transport, warehousing, and terminal management across Scotland and has been established for a number of years and works with some very prestigious clients in the industry. The Company provides integrated third-party logistics solutions including bonded and non-bonded warehousing and supply chain management to a number of blue-chip customers across Scotland and England.Your new role
This role will work in collaboration with their clients\’ production facility. This is a key position within the site\’s management structure, responsible for ensuring efficient warehouse operations and maintaining high standards of stock control within a customer\’s manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of warehousing processes and procedures, with a practical appreciation of stock control. Clear communication, effective teamwork, and a keen eye for detail are essential attributes for success in this role.
Ensure operations staff adhere to procedures, guidelines, and KPI targets. Distribute all relevant paperwork in advance. Ensure production is placed into authorised warehouse bins with accurate documentation. Work with Stock Controllers to resolve discrepancies and implement corrective actions. Foster a strong team culture, supporting colleagues across office and warehouse environments.What you\’ll need to succeed
Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), SAP, and transport systems is advantageous (training will be provided). Strong organisational and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively and flexibly in a fast-paced environment. Working hours are a rotating 4-on / 4 off shift pattern, working from 0600-1800. Flexibility is required to support business needs, especially during peak periods. Holiday cover is expected within the shift pattern by advance agreement.
What you\’ll get in return
A salary of £35,000 with reasonable flexibility is expected in order to meet the requirements of the business, particularly at peak operational periods. This is an excellent opportunity to join a very successful and well-known business.
