Permanent Opportunity! As Senior Project Manager (Civils), you will take full operational responsibility for a complex, high-value Civil Engineering project near Chester. You’ll lead multidisciplinary teams, manage all client and stakeholder interfaces, and ensure the scheme is delivered safely, to programme and to budget.

You will:

  • Lead the full lifecycle delivery of a major Civils scheme, from mobilisation through to handover
  • Manage large delivery teams including engineering, commercial, design and subcontract partners
  • Drive programme certainty, risk mitigation and delivery excellence across all phases
  • Provide strong NEC3/NEC4 contract administration, early warnings, change control and reporting
  • Maintain close control of safety, quality, technical standards and compliance
  • Build collaborative, solution-focused relationships with clients, local authorities and stakeholders
  • Lead strategic planning, resourcing, and project-wide decision-making

About You

You will have:

  • Extensive experience leading large, complex Civil Engineering projects (structures, earthworks, highways, infrastructure, utilities or similar)
  • Proven success managing technically demanding projects
  • Strong command of NEC3/NEC4 contract requirements and project controls
  • Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strong planning, risk management and commercial awareness
  • The presence and capability to drive teams, influence outcomes and deliver results
