This is a broad and highly visible role within a Lloyd's market environment, offering responsibility for the financial control and finance operations of both the managing agency and its managed syndicates.
The position will play a key role in ensuring robust financial reporting, balance sheet integrity, treasury oversight and an effective control framework, while supporting the organisation's continued growth ambitions. Your new role Reporting directly to the senior finance leadership team, you will take ownership of the financial close process and work closely with technical accounting, regulatory reporting and wider business stakeholders to deliver accurate, timely and controlled financial information.
You will also contribute to process improvements, audit delivery and finance transformation initiatives.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead the financial close process across the business and managed syndicates.
Maintain control of the trial balance, balance sheet reconciliations and supporting financial analysis.
Oversee treasury activities, cash management, liquidity reporting and related controls.
Support the delivery of statutory, regulatory and Lloyd's reporting requirements.
Enhance and maintain financial controls, governance frameworks and risk management processes.
Partner with finance and non-finance stakeholders to improve data quality, reporting and operational efficiency.
Coordinate financial support for internal and external audits.
Drive finance projects, reporting enhancements and process improvement initiativesWhat you'll need to succeed A fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent).Experienced within the Lloyd's insurance market or a comparable insurance environment. Strong in syndicate accounting, financial control and month-end close processes.
Knowledgeable of UK GAAP, Solvency UK and insurance reporting requirements.
Comfortable analysing and challenging financial and underwriting information.
Experienced in treasury, audit management and financial controls. A proactive communicator with the ability to build strong relationships across the business.
