The overall scheme is valued at more than 13 million, with the mechanical package worth approximately 6 million to 7 million.

Working alongside the Project Director and Project Manager, this role will take responsibility for the mechanical delivery of the project, from installation through to commissioning and handover.

The position would suit an established Mechanical Project Manager or a delivery-focused Mechanical Site Manager with experience managing significant mechanical packages on technically demanding construction projects.

The RoleAs Mechanical Project Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and delivery of the mechanical services package.

Your responsibilities will include:

Managing the mechanical works through construction, commissioning and handoverCoordinating mechanical subcontractors, supervisors and site teamsMonitoring progress against the construction and commissioning programmesReviewing mechanical drawings, specifications and technical informationCoordinating mechanical services with the wider construction and building services teamsChairing subcontractor progress meetings and maintaining accurate recordsManaging labour, materials, plant and site resourcesIdentifying programme risks, technical issues and potential delaysWorking closely with the Project Director, Project Manager and commercial teamSupporting mechanical procurement and monitoring package costsManaging quality inspections, installation records and ITPsEnsuring the mechanical works are delivered safely and to the required standardOverseeing testing, commissioning, snagging and final handoverProviding progress updates to the client and wider project teamResolving site and technical issues without affecting programme, quality or safetyAbout YouYou will have previous experience working as a Mechanical Project Manager, Mechanical Site Manager or in a similar mechanical delivery role within the construction or building services industry. xohmjla You should be able to demonstrate: Experience delivering significant mechanical packages on commercial, laboratory, life sciences or technically complex projectsStrong technical knowledge of mechanical building services, including HVAC, ventilation, heating, cooling and pipework systemsExperience managing mechanical subcontractors and site-based delivery teamsA good understanding of mechanical installation, coordination, testing and commissioningThe ability to read and understand drawings, specifications and construction programmesStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsA practical, delivery-focused approach to resolving project issuesGood knowledge of health and safety requirementsSMSTS and an appropriate CSCS cardIf you are an experienced Mechanical Project Manager or Mechanical Site Manager interested in this opportunity, please apply with an up-to-date CV or contact James Mitchell for a confidential discussion.
