A leading accountancy practice in Bristol is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join its expanding tax team.
As Tax Manager, you will take ownership of a portfolio of clients, providing strategic tax advice while overseeing compliance delivery. You will work closely with Partners and Directors, becoming a trusted adviser to clients whilst helping to develop the firm's next generation of tax professionals.
- Managing a portfolio of business and private clients across a variety of sectors.
- Reviewing complex personal, partnership and corporate tax returns.
- Providing proactive advice on tax planning opportunities.
- Advising business owners on remuneration strategies and profit extraction.
- Supporting company restructures, share reorganisations and succession planning projects.
- Delivering advice on capital gains tax, inheritance tax and property-related tax matters.
- Managing HMRC enquiries and disclosures.
- Identifying opportunities to enhance client service and generate advisory work.
- Reviewing technical work and supporting the development of junior team members.
- Leading client meetings and presenting tax planning recommendations.
- Working closely with Partners on specialist tax assignments and business development initiatives.
- Monitoring legislative changes and ensuring clients receive timely advice.
What you'll need to succeed:
- CTA qualified, or ACA/ACCA qualified with significant tax experience.
- Strong background working within an accountancy practice.
- Excellent knowledge of UK personal and corporate taxation.
- Experience managing client portfolios.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Commercially minded approach with the ability to identify opportunities for clients.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
