Your new company is a well-known brand-name company based in Uxbridge offering hybrid working (3 days a week in the office) to a technical Controls Specialist with previous experience of SAO controls requirements (including Taxation, VAT and Customs) and an understanding of CCO and FTPF controls.
Your new role involves leading the implementation and embedding of Senior Accounting Officer (SAO), Corporate Criminal Offence (CCO) and Failure to Prevent Fraud (FTPF) controls frameworks. This includes:
- Evaluating and stress testing controls to make improvements and working with the business to enhance controls.
- Evaluating future risks in these areas.
- Deep diving into SAO controls relating to VAT and collaborating closely with operational leaders on improving Customs Controls.
- Creating a Controls and Compliance framework and policies relating to CCO and FTPF.
- Reviewing, assessing and strengthening compliance controls across the business.
- Identifying control gaps and risk areas, and designing remediation actions.
- Partnering with external consultants, Finance, Tax and Operational stakeholders to embed controls.
What you will need to succeed:
- You will be a Qualified Accountant, ACA, ACCA or equivalent, likely with a highly technical controls background including previous experience in Tax, VAT, Customs controls and Financial controls, possibly gained in the Big 4 or from previous roles in industry.
- You will have excellent communication and stakeholder management experience.
- You will have experience documenting and delivering controls policies and frameworks in complex, fast-paced organisations.
- Proven experience working with SAO Controls, and ideally some exposure to CCO and FTPF Controls.
- Comfortable operating autonomously.
- Experience working with SAP would be very useful.
What you will get in return:
- Interim assignment for approximately 10 months.
- Hybrid working - 3 days a week in the office in Uxbridge.
- Rate Β£500-680 per day (outside IR35).
