Job Description

Your new company
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and driven individual to join an established company with a fleet of over 100 vehicles. Based at their head office, the role presents the opportunity to work within a strong and dedicated team gaining the skills and experience required to successfully operate day-to-day transport operations.

Your new role
Effective management and planning of drivers, through on-going communication and using our TMS software. Controlling and planning an agreed amount of resources (vehicles, drivers, trailers); ensuring all legal requirements are adhered to (Working Time Directive and EU Drivers' Hours regulations). To ensure the daily plan is completed in real time by managing resources effectively, maximising utilisation. Control and execution of in-house planning tools and systems to manage workload and monitor efficiency. Ensure fleet compliance is maintained at all times. Ensure all drivers' administration / management is in line with regulations. Understanding and achieving key performance targets relating to the safety and efficiency of our fleet (including utilisation and costing. Constantly communicate with our Customers & Drivers to ensure customer KPI's and targets are achieved and maintained

What you'll need to succeed
An excellent knowledge of transport with previous planning experience of a large C&D fleet.
Excellent knowledge and understanding of WTD, Tachograph rules and regulations. Proficient IT skills with experience using excel and transport management systems. Good communication skills and ability to plan ahead and work on your own initiative. Promote a positive manner, strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure. Applicants for this position should be driven and ambitious, hold good educational qualifications, with a positive attitude towards health and safety, transport compliance and be customer-centric.

What you'll get in return
A salary of between 30,000 and 33,000. This is a Monday-Friday position working from 0800-1800. Excellent working conditions and a contributory pension scheme.What you need to do now
