Your new company
Our client, a Local Authority in the Glasgow region, is seeking a dedicated Trade Supervisor to join their Maintenance department for 3-6 months initially. This role is crucial in ensuring efficient management of trade jobs, maintaining effective communication between trade staff and customers, and collaborating with tenants, staff, and contractors.
Your new role
The Trade Supervisor will oversee and coordinate the activities of trade workers, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of trade workers.
  • Ensure all work is done in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to management.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Resolve any issues that arise on the job site.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each project.
  • What you’ll need to succeed
    Previous experience working within a Housing Association or Local Authority
    HNC in Construction or equivalent OR time served trade background
    Experience managing a team of around 30 staff
