Overview
You will join a Kent-based SME in the commercial team to own and shape bids from enquiry to submission. You will influence project outcomes through tender strategy, cost analysis, and value engineering, supporting healthcare and education projects. Working closely with the Commercial Manager, you will build strong supplier and client relationships and help sustain a growing pipeline across Kent and London. This is a hands-on role with real impact on winning bids in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate tenders for healthcare and education projects
- Carry out detailed take-offs, cost analysis and subcontractor comparisons
- Liaise with the Commercial Manager on tender strategy and pricing
- Issue enquiries, manage subcontractor communications and validate quotations
- Evaluate risk, propose value engineering options and challenge design where appropriate
- Prepare tender summaries and support handover to project teams
- Build and maintain strong supply chain and client relationships
Key requirements
- Proven experience as an Estimator in construction (SME or main contractor background)
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to work autonomously
- Confident communicator with suppliers, clients, and internal teams
- Experience pricing work in healthcare and/or education (desirable)
- Methodical, detail-driven and able to manage multiple tenders simultaneously
