Your new role

In this role, you will be responsible for liaising with internal and external stakeholders to develop, plan, and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scripts. This involves close collaboration to ensure that all requirements are met and that the testing process runs smoothly.

You will utilise Azure DevOps to capture, manage, and execute all test suites, test cases, and bugs. Additionally, you will develop and document all processes associated with the use of DevOps, ensuring that everything is well-organized and efficient.

Participation in workshops will be a key part of your responsibilities. These workshops will help you understand business requirements for change and allow you to develop test suites for System Integration Testing (SIT), UAT, Smoke Testing, and Regression packs.

Supporting the development and maintenance of all processes surrounding the implementation and maintenance of integration will also be a crucial aspect of your role. This ensures that all systems work seamlessly together.

You will carry out both functional and non-functional system and integration testing for new capabilities, including usability testing. This ensures that all new features and integrations meet the required standards and provide a good user experience.

Finally, you will liaise with business Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), the Business Systems and Process team, clients, and third parties for the development, planning, and execution of UAT scripts. This collaboration is essential to ensure that all testing is thorough and meets the needs of all stakeholders.

What you'll need to succeed

To excel in this role, you will need previous experience within a testing environment, including Test Automation. This experience is crucial as it ensures you are familiar with the processes and tools required to effectively test and validate systems.

A solid understanding of operating infrastructure is also essential. You should be familiar with general IT infrastructure, including hardware, databases, operating systems, and local area networks. This knowledge will help you navigate and troubleshoot various technical environments.Experience with CAFM (Computer-Aided Facility Management) or IWMS (Integrated Workplace Management Systems) like Concept Evolution and FSI Go is highly beneficial. This experience will enable you to manage and optimize facility operations efficiently.

Analytical thinking is another key requirement. You should be able to systematically break down problems or situations into their component parts to understand them better. This skill is vital for identifying issues and developing effective solutions.

Lastly, good attention to detail is crucial. You must apply quality standards to all tasks undertaken and ensure that nothing is overlooked. This meticulous approach will help maintain high standards and ensure the success of your testing efforts.
