Your new role: As Senior Multi-Site Estates Manager, you will take full operational responsibility for estates maintenance services across multiple sites, leading multidisciplinary teams and managing a complex portfolio of buildings, engineering systems, infrastructure and grounds. Reporting to the Head of Estates and professionally accountable to the Director of Estates, you will ensure the safe, effective and compliant delivery of planned and reactive maintenance services, balancing performance, cost control and statutory obligations.
- Operational leadership of estates maintenance across multiple sites, ensuring compliance with organisational standards, HTMs, HSE guidance and statutory legislation.
- Accountability for maintenance performance, productivity, quality and financial control, including delegated budgets and cost improvement targets.
- Acting as Authorised or Responsible Person (AP/RP) across technical disciplines such as medical gases, water safety, electrical safety, ventilation and decontamination.
- Driving continuous improvement, service development and performance optimisation through CAFM systems and KPI management.
- Leading on-site emergency response and participating in the estates on-call rota.
- Contributing to estates strategy, risk management, business continuity planning and capital project handovers.
The role will be based in Shropshire for 4-5 days each week.
What you'll need to succeed: To be successful in this role, you will be a confident, credible and performance-driven estates professional with significant experience in complex operational environments.
- Extensive senior-level experience in estates operations, ideally within healthcare or similarly regulated environments.
- Proven experience managing multi-site estates portfolios and multidisciplinary maintenance teams.
- Strong working knowledge of statutory compliance, HTMs, ACoPs, HSE guidance and risk management.
- Experience acting as an Authorised or Responsible Person across one or more estates disciplines.
- A track record of managing budgets, contractors and service performance within tight governance frameworks.
- Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
