Your new company This organisation operates at the heart of UK defence infrastructure, delivering large-scale facilities management, construction and transformation programmes across key military sites in the South of England.

Working in partnership with central government, they are responsible for the delivery and ongoing management of one of the Ministry of Defence's largest long-term infrastructure programmes, supporting thousands of personnel through the provision of modern, purpose-built living and working environments.

With a long-term contract running into the next decade, the organisation is focused on continuous improvement, sustainability and modernisation driving enhancements across both traditional infrastructure and digital capability.

Operating within a highly collaborative, multi-partner environment, they play a critical role in evolving how essential services are delivered at scale within a secure and operationally demanding setting.

Your new role This role sits at the centre of IT, ensuring that technology is effectively designed, delivered and embedded across the business to support both operational performance and future innovation.

It combines technical leadership, shaping secure, scalable solutions while maintaining a strong focus on service quality and reliability.

Working closely with both business stakeholders and the wider IT function.

There is a strong emphasis on influencing technical direction, challenging vendors and driving the right decisions from both an architecture and delivery standpoint.

Alongside project delivery, the role is responsible for maintaining a resilient and high-performing IT environment.

This includes oversight of connectivity and cloud services, ensuring high availability, strong security and effective incident and change management processes.

The role also plays a key part in managing third-party suppliers, ensuring services are delivered in line with contractual obligations and best practice.

More broadly, this is a leadership position within the team, supporting the Head of IT in shaping strategy, improving processes, and driving continuous improvement.

It also provides mentorship and technical guidance across the team, helping to build capability and reduce dependency risks.
