Job Description
Your new company
As Lead Buyer, you'll manage a team of buyers and support the Supply Chain Delivery Manager. You'll be responsible for purchasing production and consumable materials, ensuring everything is delivered on time and within budget. You'll also lead on supplier issues, drive cost savings, and help improve processes across the department.

- Coaching and guiding buyers on best practices
- Managing supplier relationships and resolving issues
- Reducing costs, improving delivery times, and managing inventory
- Supporting team development and performance
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
- Deputising for the Supply Chain Delivery Manager when needed
What you'll need to succeed
- Recent experience in a senior buying or procurement role
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Good working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office
- Experience with lean tools and problem-solving techniques
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- CIPS qualification or relevant degree (preferred but not essential)
