You will be joining a well-established and highly respected Tier 1 civil engineering contractor with a strong track record of delivering complex infrastructure and heavy civils projects. This multi-accredited and high-profile contractor has a strong pipeline of work across a multitude of different sectors and offers excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development. Their commitment to delivering an exceptional standard of work has positioned them as a leader in the industry and, as part of their continued growth, they are actively seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their team.
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the commercial management of civil engineering projects, with an initial scheme located in Stoke-on-Trent, supported from the Tamworth office on a hybrid basis. Responsibilities include:
- Managing ongoing cost analysis, including maintenance and repair works
- Evaluating subcontractor quotations and managing procurement processes
- Preparing and agreeing variations, interim valuations and final accounts
- Issuing payment certifications to subcontractors
- Identifying and mitigating commercial risks
- Ensuring all activities meet quality, safety and environmental standards
This is a varied and dynamic role offering exposure to all aspects of project commercial management within a collaborative team environment.
To excel in this role, you will bring:
- Degree/HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying (or similar qualification) or experience equivalent
- Proven working knowledge of NEC form of contract
- Sound commercial awareness and numerical capability
- Full UK driving licence and be willing to travel regionally.
