Job Title: Systems Engineer / Platform Engineer – Submarines Locations: Bristol, Barrow-in-Furness, Weymouth, Farnborough Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 + Bonus + Benefits We are looking for 2 x Systems Engineers to join a global defence engineering organisation and support the design, development and integration of a major new submarine programme. A broad understanding of the engineering lifecycle and engineering principles is required. This role would be ideal for a service leaver with submarine engineering experience. You will be working across multiple systems workstreams to ensure all competing design drivers are considered, evaluated and prioritised. Strong Stakeholder Management skills are a must. What you’ll be doing: Responsible for the delivery of product integration workstreams to meet customer and contractual obligations Applying engineering processes, tools and approaches to develop innovative and creative solutions to contracts and specifications Definition and governance of Whole Boat Design policies, processes and guidance Ensuring developed major systems and functions are defined, integrated and configured through development of the design and build delivery phases Performing appropriate engineering coordination and review activities for assurance that Products are safe, compliant, and delivered within agreed time Interfacing with internal and external stakeholders to deliver product integration in the context of an agreed requirement framework Your skills and experiences: Essential: System Engineering Principles and ways of working Knowledge of Engineering Frameworks and Engineering Lifecycle Effective stakeholder management across functional and organisational boundaries Desirable: Submarine product knowledge Analysis of product functional requirements identification, capture and trace Ex navy or previous experience working in complex engineering sectors i.e., ship building, aviation, or safety engineering background **ALL APPLICANTS MUST BE ABLE TO ACHIEVE FULL SC SECURITY CLEARANCE WITHOUT RESTRICTIONS**
