Hays Non-Qualified Finance are currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant opportunity with a well-established organisation based in Swansea.

This role sits within a busy operational finance team and plays a key part in supporting the day-to-day running of finance activities, particularly across purchase ledger and transactional processes.

It offers strong exposure across core finance functions within a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Managing the end-to-end purchase ledger process, including high-volume invoice processing and supplier payments Handling bank requisitions and ensuring accurate and timely approval of payments Managing and reconciling company credit cards, resolving discrepancies as required Performing bank and cash reconciliations Maintaining accurate supplier accounts and resolving queries efficiently Supporting basic credit control activities Assisting with general ledger processing and reconciliations Contributing to month-end processes, including prepayments and accruals Preparing intercompany reconciliations Supporting VAT returns and external audit processes Producing weekly reports and supporting ongoing finance operations This position would suit an individual with prior experience in an Accounts Assistant or Finance Assistant role who is detail-oriented, organised, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and accounting software (such as Sage), are essential.

A relevant accounting or finance qualification would be advantageous but is not required.
